Yue kiln celadon, known as "mother porcelain", its history can be traced back to the Eastern Han Dynasty, more than 2,000 years ago, is a bright pearl in the history of Chinese porcelain.

From the Eastern Han Dynasty to the presentation of the secret color porcelain in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, Yue kiln celadon ushered in its golden age, the Tang Dynasty poet Lu Guimeng even used the phrase "Nine Autumns of the wind and dew Yue kiln open, captured a thousand peaks of emerald green color to" to describe its jade-like exquisite.

Shangyu, Shaoxing - The Source of Celadon

Shaoxing Shangyu, the legendary birthplace of Emperor Shun and the hometown of Zhu Yingtai, is one of the birthplaces of the Yue kiln celadon in China, which is surrounded by mountains and water and rich in porcelain clay resources, providing unique conditions for the production of celadon.


Nowadays, there are hundreds of ancient kiln sites scattered in Shangyu, and the Xiaoxiantan kiln site located near the Daguan Hotel in Dongshan is the earliest Yue kiln celadon site discovered so far. ① Phoenix Hill Archaeological Site Park
With the Yue kiln celadon culture as the core, it focuses on the history and culture of celadon firing from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, preserving the landscape of dragon kiln furnaces, workshop ruins, and ceramic tile piling layer, recreating the ancient porcelain-making scene, suitable for history lovers, parents and children families to explore on short-term trips.

② Yueyao Celadon Museum
Located on the B1 floor of the hotel, the museum contains more than 1,000 pieces of collections showing the evolution and development process of celadon for visiting and studying, allowing you to feel the cultural charm of Yue kiln for thousands of years without leaving home.
